The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Commercialisation) and Head of the Division is Professor Arun Sharma.
The Division is comprised of the following offices:
- Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor - Professor Arun Sharma
The Office of the DVC supports the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in managing and coordinating the activities of the Division and provides financial management oversight of the Division's budget.
- Office of Commercial Services (OCS) - Mr Colin Melvin
OCS assists staff in developing, costing and negotiating consultancies and research contracts. They are also responsible for the coordination and delivery of training programs and seminars for faculty, industry and government bodies, through activities of the Continuing Professional Education Unit.
- Office of Research (OR) - Mr Michael McArdle
OR assists staff with applications for funding, administers the University's Research Ethics framework and supports the University's Research Data system.
- Research Students Centre (RSC) - Professor Rod Wissler
RSC provides assistance and advice to research students and supervisors.
Please direct all enquiries regarding commercialisation to qutbluebox ('bluebox'), the commercialisation company for QUT. bluebox has taken over responsibility for commercialisation from the university's Office of Commercial Services, and is now the single point of contact for all enquiries relating to technology transfer and commercialisation of QUT's intellectual property.
